The Festival: Film Review

I am a massive fan of The Inbetweeners so I was obviously onboard with The Festival as soon as I heard the makers of the TV show were making a movie starring Joe Thomas, aka Simon from The Inbetweeners. If you liked their previous work, then you will enjoy The Festival.

Top News- Nicki Minaj, R-Patz and The Hunger Games

1. Robert Pattinson has admitted he is “homeless” on the Jimmy Kimmel show. While he mentioned nothing about the Kristen Stewart scandal, his current living situation probably indicates they are not together.

2. Sam Claflin has been named as Finnick Odair in the sequel to The Hunger Games- Catching Fire. Sam has been in Snow White and The Huntsman and the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I have met him and he seems like a nice guy. It is also great that a British guy got the part BUT I pictured Finnick to be far bigger and stronger than Sam. I expected him to have super athletic body and be rather big-built to play a successful tribute. Maybe Sam will bulk up for the role.

3. It has been announced that there will be a sequel to The Inbetweeners movie. The show’s co-creator Damon Beesley recently confirmed the news to a British paper, “I don’t want to give too much away at this stage but yes, we have been developing an idea for a sequel.”

“We miss working with Simon, Joe, James and even Blake too much not to give it a go.”

The creators want to stress that it is nowhere near signed, that they haven’t figured out the story yet and aren’t going to rush into anything. Damon admits he wants to spend time “to make sure that we can do justice to a follow-up”.

4. Justin Bieber will be the next celebrity to be immortalised in cartoon by The Simpsons. The pop star tweeted, “Just did a voice over for the SIMPSONS!!! #swaggy”. The episode, called The Fabulous Faker Boy, will air next year.

The show’s executive producer, Al Jean, spoke of Bieber’s role, saying, “He tries to get into a talent show that Bart is playing piano in and they won’t admit him. Draw your own conclusions.”

5. Check out the video to Nicki Minaj’s fifth single from her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. It is called I Am Your Leader and features Rick Ross and Cam’ron. I’m not a massive fan of the song but I find the chorus funny and the video looks great. It is brightly coloured and Nicki’s bath scene is hilarious.
