The Irishman: Film Review

I really wanted to watch Martin Scorsese‘s gangster epic in a cinema because I feared I wouldn’t be able to watch the three-and-a-half-hour film at home without interruptions. I never managed to get to the cinema so had to do make do with a Netflix viewing – but I needn’t have worried. The Irishman is so gripping that I watched it non-stop from start to finish and didn’t feel the need to check my phone at all.

Rocketman: Film Review

I was extremely excited for Rocketman because I love Taron Egerton (a well-known fact about me) and a lot of Elton John‘s songs so it was a winning combination. However, I didn’t feel completely satisfied with the story and was left wanting more.

Yardie: Film Review

I wanted to check out Yardie purely to see what Idris Elba was like as a feature film director. This is an impressive and assured debut, but I wasn’t particularly wowed by the story.
