Glass: Film Review

I am a huge fan of James McAvoy and thought he was brilliant in Split so, even though I didn’t care much for Unbreakable, I was looking forward to Glass, the conclusion of M. Night Shyamalan‘s trilogy. However, I came away feeling pretty meh about the whole thing.

Ocean’s 8: Film Review

Following the critical mauling the all-female Ghostbusters reboot got (although I personally enjoyed it), I really wanted to like Ocean’s 8, not just because of what it represented for female-led blockbusters, but because I love the ensemble cast and the idea of a female heist comedy. I must say, the hype made me slightly disappointed.

American Horror Story: Hotel is just damn gross and nasty

I had my first experience of American Horror Story and I am neither convinced that I liked it, or that I will continue watching because it is just nasty, grim and nonsensical. It is hard to enjoy a show where depravity and perversion are the name of the game, especially when you don’t know anybody or understand that the hell is going on.

Emmys 2015: Best & Worst Dressed

Awards season is officially underway, which means more red carpet fashion analysis woohoo! I’m not huge into fashion but I love checking out what the celebs choose for these fancy ceremonies. One of my favourites from last night’s Emmys is Emma Roberts, who looks absolutely gorgeous in this pale gown. I have just given the highlights of the best & worst, but I must admit, most fell into the ‘meh’ category, where was just boring and uninspired so they got ignored. The ones I have chosen inspire a reaction.
