A Private War: Film Review

I became aware of how incredible Rosamund Pike was when she starred in Gone Girl. I really wanted her to win the Oscar for it but she didn’t and I really wish she was included in the race again with A Private War.

Entebbe: Film Review

Most dramatisations of real-life incidents take the interesting facts and add drama to them to make them as cinematic and exciting as possible. Entebbe doesn’t do that – in fact, it manages to take an interesting real-life hijacking and make it seem quite flat and straightforward.

Oscars 2015: Best & Worst Dressed

87th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

My favourite is Rosamund Pike, who totally pulled it out of the bag after several dire choices. Emma Stone was consistent as ever but I fell in love with Anna Faris’ gown – so beautiful. To be honest, nobody was badly dressed (ignoring Lady Gaga’s gloves), so the worst dressed pile are generally ones that weren’t to my personal taste. Enjoy!

Screen Actors Guild Awards: Best & Worst Dressed

yes2

Another Sunday, another Hollywood red carpet event and obviously I had to analyse what the ladies were wearing. Sadly, this time around has been a pretty boring bunch. Besides the few that stood out (good and bad), and there weren’t many, everyone else just played it safe and wore something so uninspired and boring. For example, I have put Reese Witherspoon on my worst dressed list, not because her outfit is terrible, but because I expect more from her. She was top of my previous two lists from this award season and then she shows up in a bland white one-shoulder number. You can do way better Reese! So quite a lot of my worst dressed list was simply because they were underwhelming.
