Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga – Netflix Film Review

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

I have been excited for the release of Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga ever since it was announced. I just thought it was such a fantastic idea, one ripe with comedic potential, given the ridiculous and utterly camp nature of the contest itself. Sadly, the movie isn’t quite as funny as I was expecting.

Disobedience: Film Review

Disobedience is unlikely to have mainstream appeal but it should be seen because it tells a compelling romance story and features some incredible performances from leads Rachel Weisz, Rachel McAdams and Alessandro Nivola.

Game Night: Film Review

My top ten films of 2016

civil-min

Welcome back, folks! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break. Now is the time to look back over the year in film releases and pick my favourites. Oscars 2016: Best & Worst Dressed

margot crop

We have finally reached the end of the film awards season! It felt like we would never get there but yes, the Oscars, the pinnacle of everything, happened Sunday night. Sure, the prizes are a good talking point but this is ALL about the fashion. This is the biggie – the event everyone saves their best for, and there were some damn good outfits on display.

Spotlight: Film Review

I had heard brilliant things about Spotlight and Oscar nominations are hard to ignore so my expectations were high, but this still manages to substantially exceed them. I was totally blown away but this unbelievably true story.
