Solo: A Star Wars Story – Film Review

As much as I love Star Wars, I was not excited for Solo at all and the firing of original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller didn’t help matters. I didn’t care for Rogue One and I felt this next spin-off would be on a similar level – and it was a slight improvement, but not by much.

Will celebs stop commenting on the Amber Heard & Johnny Depp scandal please?

This is not about taking sides. Nobody knows what goes on behind the closed doors of a relationship, NO ONE. So why do Johnny Depp‘s friends and family think it’s a good idea to publicly defend him in the midst of these domestic abuse allegations?! It’s just wrong and they need to shut up.

I couldn’t access Captain America: Civil premiere cos of silly wristbands

20160426_161942-min

I previously attended both the Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres at London’s Westfield shopping centre and I had no problem entering the fans pens even though I arrived after work between 3-4pm the day of. I had hoped this would be the same for Captain America: Civil War premiere – but I was wrong, you had to have wristbands, and this is so disappointing.

Anthony Mackie & Paul Bettany own the Captain America: Civil War press conference

cap6

Today I attended the London press conference for Captain America: Civil War featuring such a large panel that they couldn’t use the usual table and microphone set up and have to stagger them over two levels with lounge chairs! We have (deep breath), from left to right, above: Producer Kevin Feige, Elizabeth Olsen, Daniel Bruhl, Sebastian Stan (hidden), Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey, Jr., Anthony Russo, Paul Bettany, Joe Russo and Emily VanCamp.

Captain America: Civil War – Film Review

cap1

I watched Captain America: Civil War a couple of days ago and I have been putting off writing my review because I was so overwhelmed by the amount of characters and stories in one movie, yet the Russo brothers somehow managed to juggle it all perfectly and make an incredible superhero film.

Shelter: Film Review

I knew going into Shelter that it wasn’t going to be a barrel of laughs, but I still wanted to check it out to see if Paul Bettany makes a solid directorial debut and if working with his wife Jennifer Connelly was a good idea.

I was very lucky that I managed to go to the Avengers: Age of Ultron press conference in London on Tuesday as well as the premiere and although they did say a few interesting nuggets of information, I found it more interesting to watch their behaviour because they all get on so well together.

They were all fun and making jokes, usually to one another like they would on set. One of the actors would crack a joke and they would all chime in and go off topic. When the moderator asked director Joss Whedon if that’s how they are on set, he replied, “No, some of them are paying attention (here)”. So you can only imagine what filming must have been like!

Avengers: Age of Ultron Film Review

avengers3

I was on such a hype for Avengers: Age of Ultron and while it did deliver the goods, I was not thinking ‘this is f**king awesome!’ throughout like I did the first one.  I am being quite harsh – in regular film standards, this was amazing and so enjoyable but I just loved the first Avengers so much that I left feeling ever-so-slightly deflated.
