Ghostbusters (2016): Film Review

ghost2

The remake of the 1984 classic comedy Ghostbusters has been hit with hate from day one and, even though I love the original, I was excited by the cast and what they could do with it. The criticism the cast and director/co-writer Paul Feig have received is unfair, and I desperately wanted this to prove the haters wrong, so I’m very happy to report it did. It’s far from perfect, but it’s not the travesty you have been lead to believe.

Top Films for July

july1

A new month is here and once again, here are the films I’m most excited about seeing – sadly, nothing on the list is an original idea and it’s mainly sequels or reboots/adaptations. There are a number of obvious choices I have missed off the list for legit reasons, such as Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie (this was popular before my time), The Legend of Tarzan (I’ve seen it and I don’t recommend), Central Intelligence (it’s alright) and The Neon Demon (I don’t think I’ll like it).

Spy: Film Review

spy2

I was not excited about Spy at all because the trailer sucked and I thought ‘this better not be the level of humour’ as the comedy highlights shown weren’t funny to me. So my expectations for this were super low and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it and it is truly hilarious. I would recommend you all completely ignore the trailer!
