Us: Film Review

Where does one start with a review of Us? The film is so layered, complex and full of hidden meaning that I couldn’t even attempt to write my review immediately after I saw it – it leaves you thinking and I needed time to process it first. Black Panther: Film Review

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I have superhero fatigue – I just can’t get excited for them anymore – so the hype surrounding Black Panther didn’t include me whatsoever. But amazingly, watching Black Panther somehow revived my interest and enthusiasm in the MCU, because it is so different and fresh.

Queen of Katwe: Film Review

Queen of Katwe is one of those uplifting, inspirational films that I just love – they make you feel like you can do anything if you put your mind to it and keep fighting, no matter your circumstances. I think that’s a great message to teach young kids so I get why Disney chose to make this story.

The Jungle Book: Film Review

I groaned when The Jungle Book was announced and didn’t feel any hype when the trailer came out. I just didn’t want this beloved tale to be rebooted and I am very against an overreliance on CGI. But I was wrong. The effects capabilities here are beyond anything I have ever seen before – the animals and locations are so realistic and this is the first film since Avatar were 3D actually made a difference. I loved it wholeheartedly.

Today I felt like the luckiest person ever because I managed to get an invite to the Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens press conference in London. I love the films, I am huge fan of the cast (in other things as well) and it was such an enjoyable experience.
