I love Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively and director Paul Feig so A Simple Favour sounded like such a winning combination to me – so it’s a shame it doesn’t quite hit the mark. To be honest, I still don’t know what to make of it.

Welcome to Me: Film Review

I love Kristen Wiig so I’m just drawn to every film she’s in but Welcome to Me had an interesting concept, I haven’t seen much of her dramatic work, and she is supported by a terrific cast including James Marsden, Wes Bentley and Tim Robbins. It debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014 and was released in the U.S. in May last year – how has it taken this long for us to get it?!

The trailer for Daddy’s Home looked awful and I am not one of those people who love Will Ferrell in everything so I was dreading having to go and see such a terrible movie. It turned out to be pretty good. Not great, not amazing but a more decent comedy offering than I was bracing myself for.
