I had no idea what to expect from Mortal Engines because I didn’t know anything about it besides it being produced by Peter Jackson. The trailer and lack of promo didn’t exactly fill me with confidence so I went in expecting it to be totally pants but it was decent and I enjoyed it for the most part.

Hacksaw Ridge: Film Review


I’m not the biggest fan of war movies but I was encouraged to see Hacksaw Ridge after it received a 10-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival in September. It’s now obvious to see why. This is probably the best war movie made in recent years and features some extraordinary performances.
