After the shambles of 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, I was pretty much done with the franchise and not at all excited for Dark Phoenix. Despite this, I tried to go in with an open mind and it’s actually quite good. It has a lot of problems, but I was entertained for the most part.

American Animals: Film Review

We have all seen countless films about heists or robberies – the recent Ocean’s 8 springs to mind – but somehow American Animals manages to feel different and exciting. I loved it. Rather than a film showing a slick robbery that seems impossible to pull off, American Animals is basically a guide of what not to do when planning a heist.

Avengers: Age of Ultron Film Review


I was on such a hype for Avengers: Age of Ultron and while it did deliver the goods, I was not thinking ‘this is f**king awesome!’ throughout like I did the first one.  I am being quite harsh – in regular film standards, this was amazing and so enjoyable but I just loved the first Avengers so much that I left feeling ever-so-slightly deflated.

X-Men: Days of Future Past Film Review


Despite how I usually am with franchise movies, I wasn’t THAT excited for this. I just felt like it could go wrong trying to fit in both sets of cast members, it was trying to do too much and personally, the X-Men movies aren’t the best. I still had to see it, naturally.
