Widows: Film Review

I’m a big fan of Steve McQueen‘s previous films – like Hunger, Shame and 12 Years A Slave – so I was excited to see him take on more mainstream, blockbuster fare, and the incredible cast he recruited for Widows was another big plus. Thankfully, Widows is just what I hoped it would be – a thrilling heist drama.

Black Panther: Film Review

I’ve made no secret of the fact that I have superhero fatigue – I just can’t get excited for them anymore – so the hype surrounding Black Panther didn’t include me whatsoever. But amazingly, watching Black Panther somehow revived my interest and enthusiasm in the MCU, because it is so different and fresh.

Get Out: Film Review

Get Out had a lot of hype to live up to. It has excelled at the box office in the U.S. and scored rave reviews so I was expecting a lot and because of this, it ever-so-slightly let me down. The hype had made me come to expect perfection and Get Out is close but not 100% flawless.
