Entebbe: Film Review

Most dramatisations of real-life incidents take the interesting facts and add drama to them to make them as cinematic and exciting as possible. Entebbe doesn’t do that – in fact, it manages to take an interesting real-life hijacking and make it seem quite flat and straightforward.

The Cloverfield Paradox: Film Review

I am a big fan of the previous two Cloverfield films, so I was looking forward to what was originally titled God Particle, the next instalment in the series, which was set to hit cinemas in April. So I was pretty disappointed when I learned that it was going straight to Netflix – and was in fact already there. As a big cinema supporter, I was convinced this was the wrong move, a big-budget sci-fi should be seen on the big screen, but after watching it, I kinda understand why it happened.

The Face of an Angel: Film Review

face2

I was curious to watch The Face of Angel because it looks into the death of a young woman while studying in Italy but it all delves into the world of the journalism and how the writers angle the story and facts, which could affect a trial. As a journalist myself, I obviously find this fascinating and I would have loved more of it. It’s a shame the rest of the movie is a bit ‘meh’.
