The concept of The High Note – a comedy-drama about a soul diva and her assistant – sounded very much up my street and it didn’t disappoint. It was fairly formulaic stuff, but I still enjoyed it quite a lot.
The Peanut Butter Falcon: Film Review
Shia LaBeouf has had a few rough years during which he became more known for his personal problems and run-ins with the law. But now he’s making his comeback. The Peanut Butter Falcon – along with his biopic Honey Boy – both put him firmly back on the map. It is one of the sweetest films I’ve seen in a long time.
Suspiria: Film Review
I became aware of Luca Guadagnino thanks to his excellent films A Bigger Splash and Call Me By Your Name, so I was naturally going to check his remake of the 1977 Italian horror film Suspiria, even though that genre isn’t my bag and it’s not the sexy romance film I know him for. And I’m glad I did, because he has just nailed it again.

Fifty Shades Freed: Film Review
The Fifty Shades franchise has never been that great so I never expected a sudden transformation into something amazing for the third and final instalment. My expectations were obviously low, especially after critics absolutely slated it, but it is OK. Fans will certainly enjoy it.
Golden Globes 2018: Best & Worst Dressed
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know that the actors and actresses attending the Golden Globes last night wore black to support the Time’s Up movement. Here are some of my favourite looks of the night.
