Eli Roth is known for making horrors such as Cabin Fever and Hostel and he’s now bringing us a family-friendly spooky tale with an annoyingly long title, The House with a Clock in its Walls.
My pics: Cate Blanchett and Jack Black at The House with a Clock in its Walls world premiere
Yesterday I was at the world premiere of The House with a Clock in Its Walls at Westfield London and I saw the wonderful Jack Black, Cate Blanchett, Eli Roth and Owen Vaccaro! Check all my pics inside.
Ocean’s 8: Film Review
Following the critical mauling the all-female Ghostbusters reboot got (although I personally enjoyed it), I really wanted to like Ocean’s 8, not just because of what it represented for female-led blockbusters, but because I love the ensemble cast and the idea of a female heist comedy. Sadly, it didn’t quite come through.
Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter & Sarah Paulson at the Ocean’s 8 London premiere
The cast of Ocean’s 8 hit the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square last night for the movie’s European premiere – and here are my pics!
Ten films I’m most excited about in 2018
I usually do a monthly movie preview, so this is my bumper yearly edition, in which I go through the films I’m most excited about in 2018.
Thor: Ragnarok – Film Review
I liked the first two Thor movies; they were fine, they did the job, etc etc, but they didn’t leave me particularly enthusiastic about a third instalment so I didn’t think Thor: Ragnarok was necessary. I wasn’t even that excited for it. But I should have been because it is the best Thor so far and one of the strongest outings in the MCU.
Top Films for October 2017
You know what time it is! Movie preview time! Here’s where I list what I want to see/recommend people check out each month.
Top Films for March
It’s that time of the month again guys – movie preview time! There isn’t a huge amount of exciting releases to choose from in March so the list is more compact than usual. But as the saying goes, it’s all about quality over quantity and there seems to be some pretty decent movies on the horizon. Here are my picks:
Truth: Film Review
I love a journalism drama and two come along within the space of a couple of months – Spotlight and now Truth. Good news is that they are both brilliant, but I’m totally biased as a journalist myself. I have not been able to stop talking about Truth since I saw it and I have just ordered the book it’s based on – not many films can inspire me to do that.
Oscars 2016: Best & Worst Dressed
We have finally reached the end of the film awards season! It felt like we would never get there but yes, the Oscars, the pinnacle of everything, happened Sunday night. Sure, the prizes are a good talking point but this is ALL about the fashion. This is the biggie – the event everyone saves their best for, and there were some damn good outfits on display.
