All along I had thought Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets looked rubbish so my expectations were so, so low. I think this helped because it was not good, but it really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and there were many redeeming factors about it.
Pics: Rihanna, Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne at the Valerian European premiere
Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Dane DeHaan, Clive Owen and director Luc Besson hit the blue carpet in London’s Leicester Square tonight for the European premiere of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets – and here are all my pics of them!!
Met Gala 2017: Best & Worst Dressed
In case you have been hiding under a rock, it was fashion’s BIG event last night – the Met Gala. Unlike the Oscars etc, where the red carpet looks are just a bonus, the Met Gala is ALL about the red carpet fashion. Here are were my favourites:
Suicide Squad: Film Review
I wasn’t keen on Suicide Squad when it was announced because it sounded awful but I was won over by the trailers and I eventually became excited for it. That was until the reviews came out and, although I tried to ignore them, it was impossible not to take note of the negativity and lower your expectations. But I just want to assure the fans that the film is not the travesty it has been made out to be – it is messy and extremely flawed, yes, but I enjoyed most of it.
Justice League cast make surprise appearance at Suicide Squad premiere
I haven’t been to a London premiere this exciting and spectacular in ages and it couldn’t have come at a better time – Suicide Squad really needed a big event like this to lift fans’ spirits following the critical mauling the film has received and the cast made sure it was a lot of fun – and things got even crazier when the Justice League showed up announced! AMAZING!
Top Films for August
August is here which means more movies for your cinema-going selves! There are plenty to choose from this month but I’ve whittled it down to the ones I’m most excited about.
Pan: Film Review
I was not remotely excited for Pan, because I didn’t think another Peter Pan film was necessary and the film trailer just did not pique my interest in the slightest. So I completely amazed by how good it was. It really is a wonderful, vibrant and fun family film.
Can Taylor Swift please stop with the celebrity guests
Now, I love Taylor Swift but I’m so sick of her shows becoming like a parade of her celebrity pals. The whole purpose of a surprise guest is to, duh, surprise, but it’s got to the stage now where if she doesn’t bring on somebody epic it’s disappointing. Okay, so you never know who is going to be and some are generally pretty shocking (Julia Roberts anyone?) but still, I have had enough.
Paper Towns: Film Review
Following on from the success of John Green’s novel A Fault in Our Stars, movie studios clearly thought about the money and decided to adapt another Green book, Paper Towns. The main problem is that there is very little plot, the most interesting character is absent for the majority of the story and the ending makes the whole thing feel pointless. So of course, I’m going to take issue with these things in the film as well – and it’s not the film’s fault, it’s just based on a book that’s not so great.
