I must admit I’m still not completely on top of Netflix film releases but I took notice of Triple Frontier because of the talent onboard, with Margin Call and A Most Violent Year‘s J.C. Chandor up front as director and co-writer, along with Zero Dark Thirty’s Mark Boal, and a cast which includes Ben Affleck and Oscar Isaac. That’s an impressive line-up!
Justice League: Film Review
I was not a fan of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice so I thought Justice League would be just as rubbish, especially after the reviews came out and they were really bad. My expectations were incredibly low and I think that helped because I actually thought it was fine.
Inside the Justice League Experience
To celebrate the upcoming release of Justice League, an installation has been set up at the old St. Martins College of Art and Design on Southampton Row in London and it’s only open to the public today and Friday.
Live By Night: Film Review
Ben Affleck not only acts in Live By Night but he also directed and produced it and wrote the screenplay. That is an unreal amount of work and while he has done well in the past – Argo springs to mind – it feels like he’s taken on too much here and spread himself too thin. He doesn’t really excel in any of the main roles and that results in an average gangster drama.
Ben Affleck and Sienna Miller at the Live By Night premiere
Tonight, the cast of Live By Night – Ben Affleck, Sienna Miller and Chris Messina – came to the BFI Southbank in London to promote the movie. Here’s all the gossip and pics!
Top Films for January 2017
Welcome to a new year, and more importantly, a new month for films! Unfortunately for us in the UK, this is the time when all the Oscar-bait movies the US had aaages ago are finally released, but at least we can finally see what the hype is all about – and you are in for some treats!
The Accountant: Film Review
The Accountant intrigued me and I really didn’t know what to expect. It sounds lame and you don’t really think a movie about an accountant would be interesting, but it is, but the title sells it short. I just thought it would be a silly action film but it’s not that either. There was far more to it than I expected.
Ben Affleck and Anna Kendrick brave the rain for The Accountant European premiere
Tonight the stars of The Accountant, including Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick and Cynthia Abbai-Robinson, hit the soggy red carpet in London’s Leicester Square and you can see all my pics below.
Justice League cast make surprise appearance at Suicide Squad premiere
I haven’t been to a London premiere this exciting and spectacular in ages and it couldn’t have come at a better time – Suicide Squad really needed a big event like this to lift fans’ spirits following the critical mauling the film has received and the cast made sure it was a lot of fun – and things got even crazier when the Justice League showed up announced! AMAZING!
