I don’t know how September has been and gone already but here we are at October, which means it’s once again time to look ahead at the releases coming to cinemas this month.
Tomb Raider: Film Review
I groaned when the Tomb Raider reboot was announced because I didn’t think it was necessary as I’m a big fan of the Angelina Jolie movies. I was also very skeptical when Alicia Vikander was cast as Lara Croft – she didn’t seem like the right fit – but now I need to eat my words because she and the film are both great.
Top Films for March
It’s the start of March, aka monthly movie preview time! Here are the releases I’m most looking forward to in March.
BAFTAs 2018: Best & Worst Dressed
Much like the Golden Globes, the stars took to the BAFTAs red carpet at London’s Royal Albert Hall in black to support the Time’s Up movement – and here are my favourite looks.
Critics’ Choice Awards 2018: Best & Worst Dressed
On Thursday night, it was another red carpet – the Critics’ Choice Awards – which means more fashion for us to check out!
Golden Globes 2018: Best & Worst Dressed
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know that the actors and actresses attending the Golden Globes last night wore black to support the Time’s Up movement. Here are some of my favourite looks of the night.
Critics’ Choice Awards 2015: Best & Worst Dressed
Awards season is seriously getting into full swing so the stars (actresses in particular) must have a tough job making consistently good fashion choices when they are at red carpets all the time. It will be interesting to see if my front-runners currently will be as strong towards the end.
My Top Ten Movies of 2014
2014 has been a great year for movies, but despite that, reaching my top 10 was not very hard at all. There were many films that I had such high expectations for so I couldn’t help but feel disappointed when I watched them (e.g. Interstellar), so they did not make the list. However, there were others I was dubious or not convinced about and they blew me away – so obviously, they made the cut. I’ve picked a good variety of blockbusters, indies, franchises and originals that you should do yourself a favour and see.
Films for December
The movies you should be watching this month are….
St. Vincent
Critics have been raving about this film since it did the festival circuit earlier this year. Bill Murray is the unfriendly bum Vincent who befriends the boy next door and their unlikely friendship has a positive outcome on them both. I love Murray so definitely up for this. Released: 5th December
Fury: Film Festival Press Conference
So on Sunday, I was lucky enough to attend the London Film Festival press conference for the closing film Fury. It stars Brad Pitt (in the middle of the panel) as Wardaddy, the leader of a five men manning a tank during World War II. All in attendance (from L-R) were: director David Ayer, Michael Pena, Brad, Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf and Jon Bernthal.
