Inside Disney Pixar’s Coco Mexican Fiesta party

Last night, to celebrate the upcoming release of Coco, Disney threw a ‘Mexican Fiesta’ at London’s One Marylebone, which used to be a church, and I have some insider snaps from the event!

For anyone that hasn’t yet seen the movie, the church is very apt venue for the event as the film deals with life and death, the Mexican festival Day of the Dead, and a key scene takes place in a mausoleum-style building.

A screening took place inside before the party but as I had already seen it (you can read my review here) I turned up for the party afterwards. The exterior of the building featured projections of Day of the Dead-style skulls and the name Coco, and the inside was decorated perfectly – with big 3D skulls, the bunting from the movie, lots of skull designs and two mock-up ofrendas from the film, which are part of the Day of the Dead tradition (see below).

Waiters walked around with Mexican cocktails and food, there was a photo booth and loads of pic opportunities, and some musical entertainment, which I missed but I saw a mariachi performer walking about, so presumably he was it!

Here are all my snaps from inside the event:
