Last night it was the Kong: Skull Island European premiere in London’s Leicester Square and I braved the freezing cold and the pouring rain to see Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson and more.
The premiere itself looked epic and very cool, the production value was insane, so I was feeling pretty positive but then the weather just got progressively worse. I love Brie but she turned up quite late, looking fantastic, and did a small amount of fans and press before heading inside. I saw her mouth an apology to fans, blaming it on the weather, but they’ve been out in it all day.
Tom was very good and attentive with fans but with press he just spent a lot of time with certain outlets rather than covering loads. Samuel is a legend and has been doing this for a long time so I never thought he would do much press but he came up to us at the end!! I was shocked! I got so close to him! Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts chatted to me while Toby Kebbell did most of the fans and press and apologised to us for having to move on. I don’t think John C. Reilly did much at all.
Let’s hope the weather improves soon!
