Armie Hammer and Jack Reynor hit the Free Fire London Film Festival red carpet

Tonight the 60th BFI London Film Festival closed with the epic Free Fire from Ben Wheatley, which you can read all about here. Sadly, my favourite Brie Larson wasn’t there because she’s so in demand these days and away filming but the rest of the ensemble cast made up for it.

Cillian Murphy, Jack Reynor, Sam Riley, Michael Smiley, Babou Ceesay and Sharlto Copley hit the LFF red carpet and Armie Hammer made his third LFF appearance this year following Nocturnal Animals and The Birth of a Nation. Busy guy!

I had never seen Murphy in the flesh and he was definitely better looking than I expected. However, I never got a proper chance to see him up close cos he did barely any press and when he did signing for fans, he was surrounded by people meaning I couldn’t get a clear shot of him ever – then he disappeared and went inside when I looked away for a second! Here is my best picture of him (which is pretty awful):

The rest of the cast were very good with press and fans, although Reynor and Ceesay were the only ones who came up to speak to us. Riley and Hammer were very attentive to the fans – I even saw Riley giving out some hugs.

All in all, it was a great night. My first LFF experience as press has been busy, intense, amazing and ultimately very tiring but I’d do it all again in a heartbeat (well, maybe after a few days’ sleep).
