Tonight in London Little Mix hosted a fan event to celebrate the release of their third album Get Weird on Friday. They treated guests to acoustic versions of some of their singles, played snippets of new album tracks and answered questions from the audience and from Twitter.

I have seen Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock before and they seemed like lovely, chatty girls who genuinely get on. It was even more obvious tonight. They spend the whole time joking, making ugly faces, talking in weird voices, bickering and embarrassing each other despite being onstage in front of hundreds of people! It was a lot of fun just watching how they behave together.

But tonight was about the music, so here is a set list from the event:

  1. Love Me Like You (acoustic)
  2. Change Your Life (acoustic)
  3. Black Magic (acoustic)
  4. The End (acoustic)
  5. Grown

They also played snippets from Weird People, Lightning, I Love You and Love Me or Leave Me. My personal favourites from new material (I hadn’t listened to the album in advance) were Grown and Lightning. I have to say how impressed I was with their singing. Their range and harmonies have improved so much since I saw them on X Factor and even since the Summer Time Ball this year! The girls can SING, no joke. I didn’t realise how well until tonight.

Here are some facts I picked up from their Q&A:

  1. Perrie likes to crunch Wotsits up and eat them with Pot Noodles
  2. They were going to get matching tattoos but Perrie chickened out so nobody got them
  3. The misconceptions they find most annoying is that they aren’t friends or they don’t write their own songs
  4. Leigh-Anne went on a night out recently and managed to do the Dirty Dancing lift with one of their dancers. Only afterwards did she realise her boob had been hanging out the whole time! Gutted!

All in all, the event was great. The girls are lovely to their fans and are a lot of fun. I liked hearing their banter, loved their new music and was just in awe of their voices. I liked them already but now I LOVE them.
