Films For September

As the new month starts, I look at the releases I’m most excited for:

Sex Tape

This looks hilarious. Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel play a couple who decide to film themselves having sex and the tape gets accidentally uploaded onto the Internet and sent to their friends. I can see myself laughing out loud at this. Released: 3rd September

Before I Go To Sleep

I have read the book by SJ Watson and it was so good. It stayed in my mind for weeks. So I hope the film will be just as good. It will be intriguing, gripping and very tense (hopefully). Also a stellar cast headed up by Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth. Released: 5th September

The Guest

Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens stars in this horror as a former soldier who brings the news of a fellow comrade’s death to his family. They take him in but he isn’t the good guy he seems. This looks like an interesting film choice for Stevens so it will fun to see him play evil. Released: 5th September

Magic in the Moonlight

Basically, I want to see all films that Emma Stone is in. I think she is fantastic. She stars alongside Colin Firth as a psychic. Firth is a magician and hopes to dispel her skills and unmask her as a fraud but his intentions do not quite go to plan. Released: 19th September

The Riot Club

This drama looks into the dubious antics of boys in a private members club at an elite university. Their behaviour soon descends into chaos and they land in serious trouble. Starring Max Irons, Sam Claflin and Douglas Booth. Very excited. Released: 19th September

Maps to the Stars

This dark, twisted film follows interlocking stories about those growing up in Hollywood and how it affects them. Julianne Moore is an ageing actress who is desperately trying to cling onto a career as her younger counterparts take parts from under her. Also starring Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska and John Cusack. Released: 26th September
