Justin Bieber goes on mega rant about media

Justin Bieber has done a lot of sticking up for himself of late- constantly tweeting explanations and defences against stories the media have conjured up.

Since his week from hell last week, things seemed to have died down a bit until now, when he wrote a lengthy statement on Instagram talking about the media’s lies and then boasting about his achievements.

Last week, Justin was criticised for starting his London show two hours late and then, during the third show, he collapsed due to breathing problems. He was caught on video angrily confronting a pap and then his second night Portugal gig was cancelled due to poor ticket sales. It was insane.

So why write this long complaint now?! What’s worse is that he dissed Lindsay Lohan in the first post of the statement. Here is the current post:

Like I said…very long. However, the ending was different in his first version. After the “doesn’t stop here…” he wrote, “I’m growing up finding myself while having people watch me and criticise me everyday i think im doing pretty damn good. And to those comparing me to Lindsey Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements ;)”

Ouch! Now, I seriously doubt it was meant harshly and he did remove it straight away, but he shouldn’t have named another celebrity, full stop. I also think that he needs to stop with these lengthy defences because it just creating more press trouble for himself, which he has had enough of. This post makes me think he is encouraging it. The media haven’t been on his back as much these past few days, so why write it?! You want them to leave you alone, don’t give them anything to write about. Simple.

UPDATE: Bieber has apologised for the original comment, saying to E! News: “My post was only up for a few minutes but I realized right away that what I said at the end was wrong and distracted from what I was trying to say.”
